"Inch by Inch" by Leo Lionni
Standard: 2.M.2: Estimate and measure the length
of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools, such as rulers,
yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes to the nearest inch, foot, yard,
centimeter and meter.
Objective: Through participating in the
interactive bulletin board, students will measure the lengths of various
objects using the provided objects and measuring squares.
Description:
This bulletin board’s main focus is
measurement. Students are given 2 inch by 2 inch squares of paper to measure
different objects on the board. The objects are indicated with yard to provide
direction and straight line for students. Student’s measure the objects and
record their findings on a piece of paper.
